Emery sacked as Arsenal Begin Search For New Boss

After our worst run of results in 27 years Emery is sacked as manager of my beloved Arsenal.

With poor displays, lack of clean sheets and the 9th best away record in the league since his tenure began it was time for Emery to leave his post today.

In an era where player management is more important than ever, Emery consistently creates divide with his players and more worryingly his stars. Clashing with Neymar at PSG, driving Ramsey out of Arsenal and attempting to push Özil out of the club are just the clashes that make the papers.

Before I criticise Emery too harshly, I would like to acknowledge his devotion and passion to his job which breathed some much needed fresh air into a club that had become stale.

But a lack of attacking and defensive cohesion, combined with players playing out of position (namely Torreira), and a new formation every 15 minutes is what ultimately caused fans to fall out of favour with Emery.

Like that girl you never should’ve gone on a date with, we shall move on from this experience and look to the future. Our next date.

Ljungberg will be caretaker manager for the foreseeable future which means his name will be associated with the job full time.

I like the idea of a young manager with an allegiance to the club coming into the job such as Arteta, Vieira or Freddie. But ultimately they have to be good enough for the job. Just ask Man United fans about that one.

The man I want? More than anyone who is currently available… Mauricio Pochettino. And any Arsenal fan who disagrees must be off their rocker.

The look on Spurs’ fans would be priceless! Before the promotion of youth players, great coaching and intensity he would bring to Arsenal. For me Arsenal have to make Mauricio their number one target.
